This is the Auction Catalogue for our art auction and raffle in aid of Pilgrim’s Hospices. It is in memory of Jon Bird, dearly loved artist, photographer, cartoonist and local campaigner.
It is organised by Whitstable’s community band Samba Pelo Mar who play at festivals, schools, private events and parades all around Kent and beyond. In this, our 10th year, we are aiming to raise £10,000 for the Hospice. You can see how we’re doing at http://www.justgiving.com/samba-pelo-mar.
Jon was a great supporter of the band in many ways especially keeping up spirits and making everyone laugh. Daphne, Jon’s wife, has also been a member and supporter from the beginning. We all miss him very much.
